It was a pleasure to welcome Jonathon Dawes, LTA Youth Ambassador and LTA Independent Councillor – on his whistle-stop visit to the county.
Highlights included :
- Presenting trophies to our County Champions and meeting the Junior Committee.
- An inspiring talk to our juniors and parents on university tennis, career pathways and the opportunities the sport brings.
- Leading a high-energy Tennis Leaders course at East Dorset LTCC with 20+ juniors.
- Assisted in delivering an introductory Advantage Tour event at Victoria Avenue LTC with players from David Lloyd Ringwood, East Dorset LTCC and Victoria Avenue, an initiative for players new to competition.
- Visited Southbourne Tennis Club on their 60th Anniversary Community Fun Day.
A huge thank you to Jonathon for sharing his time, energy and inspiration with Dorset – motivating the next generation both on and off the court.
