Dorset Tennis & Padel exists to promote the games of tennis and padel at all levels throughout Dorset (the area covered by Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, and Dorset Councils).  It became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation in January 2025 and gained approval of the national LTA with effect from 1st January 2026, recognising it as the successor to Dorset LTA.

Dorset Tennis & Padel is managed by a volunteer-led Board, elected ever 3 years by its members.  This Board and it’s sub-committees, oversees the administration and growth of tennis and padel across the county and manages all paid roles essential to supporting the charity's mission.

Aligned with the LTA’s vision to ‘Open Up’ tennis; to grow tennis by ensuring it is relevant, accessible, welcoming and enjoyable, the charity works closely with the LTA to promote and deliver agreed strategies and carry out specific responsibilities at county level.

We encourage our members to be advocates for equality in the role they hold and to embed equality, diversity and inclusion into all work and functions.
