Dorset Closed Padel Championships 2025

padel county champs padel page news post

The second Dorset County Closed Padel Championships has been another huge success this year.

In two parts, the first weekend, 4th to 7th September featured the 14U and 18U Boys and Girls Doubles and Men's and Women's Open Doubles and took place at East Dorset LTCC.

Fantastic to see the juniors competing and a special milestone for Dorset as only the second county to run girls junior events at a Padel County Championships.

The action kicked off Thursday evening with 14U Boys and Men's Doubles followed by the 14U and 18U Girls and Women's Doubles on Friday. The weekend was packed with exciting matches, all building up to Sunday's finals, which, after a thundery start, delivered a day full of top-class padel.

Dorset County Closed Padel Championships Part 2 took place over the weekend 13th and 14th September at The West Hants Club, featuring the new 50+ events.

Despite a delayed start on Saturday due to rain, play soon got underway with the Men's and Women's 50+ Doubles played through to the finals. On Sunday, the 50+ Mixed Doubles kicked off bright and early with the final completed just before the weather closed in once again.

The introduction of the 50+ events for 2025 proved to be a fantastic addition to the Championships, bringing exciting matches and an excellent atmosphere that was enjoyed by players and spectators.

Our thanks to East Dorset LTCC and West Hants Club for being great hosts, to referees David Walrond and Sally Revell for their hard work, the players, volunteers and spectators and to our sponsors whose support is hugely appreciated :

  • Tailored Mark for the super popular water bottles
  • Padelspeed for the fantastic prizes
  • Babolat UK for the padel balls
