WELCOME! Our new Operations Manager

Amy Balmforth joins Dorset Tennis & Padel as our new Operations Manager

Dorset Tennis & Padel is delighted to welcome Amy Balmforth, who has joined the organisation as our new Operations Manager.

“On behalf of the Board of Trustees of Dorset Tennis and Padel and all of our stakeholders, I would like to offer a very warm welcome to Amy, as our new Operations Manager. She impressed the interview panel, amongst a strong field,  with her vision for using digital tools to help deliver on our mission of making tennis and padel more accessible to all members of our community.” Brian Cooley – Chair

“I am delighted to join the team as Operations Manager! It is a real privilege to lead the day-to-day operations and help drive our strategic vision forward across Dorset. I am looking forward to working closely with our venues, committees, coaches and volunteers to build on our fantastic foundation and help even more people get active and enjoy tennis and padel across the county!” – Amy Balmforth

Amy joins us from the healthcare sector, bringing valuable experience, a fresh perspective and a genuine enthusiasm for the positive impact that sport and physical activity can have on people’s lives.

She is particularly passionate about the benefits that regular participation in tennis and padel can bring, not only in terms of physical health, but also mental wellbeing, social connection and community involvement.

In her new role, Amy will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of Dorset Tennis & Padel, working closely with our Board of Trustees, the LTA, member clubs, venues, players, coaches and volunteers across the county.

A key part of her role will be to strengthen our relationships with member clubs, improve the support and communication we provide, and help turn our strategic ambitions into practical initiatives that encourage more people to play tennis and padel throughout Dorset.

We are entering an exciting period for Dorset Tennis & Padel as we continue to develop the organisation as a charity, support our existing tennis and padel communities and create more opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get involved.

Amy’s appointment represents an important step in building the operational capacity we need to support that ambition.

Please join us in welcoming Amy to Dorset Tennis & Padel.

We look forward to introducing her to our clubs, venues and wider tennis and padel community over the coming months.
